This is Misty!

We adopted Misty from a man whose wife had been sick for 5 years and had passed away. It is clear that Misty was well loved.

Misty is a bronze Newfy who is 8 years old. She was in the hands of an intermediary who decided that she did not want to keep her, and after an introduction at a local park to our dogs and us, we decided to take her.

Misty was spayed a few days later and the vet discovered a tumor larger than a baseball on her ovary as well as many cysts. We think this (and the fact that she had hook and whip worms) accounts for why she was so thin--100 lbs for a pretty large girl. A bath showed her spine clearly and every rib and hip bone. We intend to fatten her up just a bit!

Misty is a joy. She is obedient, walks well on a leash, is loving, very kissy, and loves a pink plastic hedgehog. We took her in for all her shots, and she was wormed, and microchipped. She is expected to live out the rest of her days in the comfort of our garden with two new pals, Brocka and Uma.
